ANR Persyval DACRAW 2014–2015

Persyval exploratory project

Scientific context #

The Internet of Things (IoT) as it is defined today aims at interconnecting physical objects using Internet technologies. At the moment such trainings are accessible only in a few European countries located in the north-west of the continent. The main goal set up by the project is assuring better access to the vocational training in this field. This will be done by transfer of training methodology from training centres existing in Europe, developing training programmes unique for every partner, assuring creation of new training centres in South and Central Europe, securing first qualified group of trainers and training materials. In more general dimension, the project will contribute to the development of knowledge-based society and competitiveness of economy.

ANR ARESA2 2009–2012

Site web d’ARESA2

UE INDECT 2009–2013

Site Web du projet.

SENCITY 2009–2011

This project is funded by the Minalogic (pole de compétitivité) for 2 years. It is quite easy to write own “pages“ as many easy-to-use editing graphical tools exist todays. Even more easy is the deployment of these pages on the global “World Wide Web“ as many alternatives are offered to you, ranging from uploading them to an ISP to the home made hosting using open source tools as Apache. The WWW at the same time plays more and more the role of a front end to business specific processes – a.k.a. E-services – as it is quite easy to connect to an ISP and go to a dedicated web page giving access to train reservation, energy consumption, etc… Such services are also invokable by other business processes using the “web-service“ paradigm. We want this same success story to happen again with mobile services as the ultimate mean to ease inter-person communication, to facilitate the everyday life and to create, share and access services, content with the whole community. Indeed, one way to boost the service market in Europe consists of: providing Open Source based application supporting infrastructure that can be used by all on the PC at home, on the mobile phone on the move or at the big actor side (Telco, ISP, manufacturers); pushing the creation power to any one’s hand providing then any one with either new business opportunity or the capability to share services with the community and to extend his/her communication sphere; decreasing time to market for professional actors (service providers, industries) by providing easy-to-use creation tools and development environment and fast service deployment.

ARC CARMA 2007–2008

CARMA website

Action de Recherche Coopérative (ARC) INRIA: CApacité des Réseaux MAillés (CARMA)

Mesh networks constitute a key technological and economical challenge, and a first step toward ambient network, required to develop ubiquitous computing.

In this project we are implementing pure Java DHCPv6
server and client.

We have designed and implemented DHCPv6 following multiple objectives:

suitability of Java: our project aimed at testing Java as a platform for building pieces of the core networking infrastructure.

modularity and seamless extensibility: DHCPv6 is seen as a generic framework for configuration in which protocol options allows extending functionality. Each option embeds its configuration module.

pluggable storage back-end: configuration information and operational policies are stored and accessed through a generic permanent storage interface; various back-ends can be used as actual storage: a DBMS or flat files.

multithreaded and fully dynamic: multiple threads handle requests, replies, and configuration tasks; they can be managed while the server is online.

VTHD++ 2002–2004

@IRS++ 2001–2003

@IRS 1998–2001
