DNS, Gateway to a more secured Internet #

Abstract #

As the Internet has grown, so have its security challenges. This thesis examines how the Domain Name System (DNS), as a trusted infrastructure, can strengthen Internet security. It focuses on two protocols: DMARC, which addresses the lack of protection against sender-address spoofing in email, and RDAP, which provides secure, standardized access to domain name registration data.

The work analyzes these challenges in detail, proposes ways to improve adoption and correct deployment of both protocols, and presents DNS as a gateway to a more secure Internet.
