The first goal of VTHD++ was to grow the VTHD experimental platform into a service platform, offering on top of the VTHD network an enriched transport service with several classes of service, and letting the platform’s “clients” isolate and secure their interconnection over the shared VTHD infrastructure through a virtual private network service. This transport service could also be invoked dynamically, through middleware sitting between advanced services and the network and hiding the network’s complexity and heterogeneity. “Clients” here means the RNRT or RNTL projects wishing to use the platform.
